Hey, Ey, Ey, Ey!

Part 8 – The Weather!

Narrator Voice:

“Blissfits countdown! 🚢🌊 Two weeks till tacos and sea days.”

Hey Blissfits Crew! It’s time to talk weather.

Here’s the deal: we’ve got three glorious sea days (aka unlimited napping, eating, and pretending to exercise), and three ports of call:

Weather vibe

Cabo San Lucas (around Dec 30-ish)

  • Daytime highs: about 79–82°F
  • Night lows: about 59–65°F
  • Generally dry; only a tiny chance of rain
  • Ocean temp: mid-70s, very swimmable

Puerto Vallarta (a day or two later)

  • Daytime highs: about 82–86°F
  • Night lows: about 63–68°F
  • Dry season, so lots of sun and very little rain
  • Ocean temp: high-70s, warm bathtub zone

Los Angeles + sea days at the start/end

  • LA that time of year is more like low 60s in the day, 50s at night, so embarkation and final sea day can feel cool and breezy on deck.

So: warm in Mexico, mild-to-cool leaving and returning, breezy on deck, strong sun.

What to pack!

Core clothing

For warm days (ports + pool)

  • 3–5 light t-shirts / polos / tanks
  • 2–3 shorts
  • 1–2 swimsuits (rotate while one dries)
  • 1 swim cover-up / rashguard
  • 1–2 light outfits for walking in town (breathable, quick-dry)

For cooler evenings (on deck, LA days, AC indoors)

  • 1 light hoodie or sweatshirt
  • 1 packable windbreaker or light jacket (nice on windy decks & sailaway)
  • 1 pair jeans or light pants
  • 1 extra long-sleeve shirt

For Norwegian “Dress Up or Not” nights & specialty dining

Bliss is pretty relaxed, but think “smart casual”:

  • Men: 1–2 collared shirts + chinos or dark jeans
  • Women: 1–2 casual dresses or nice top + pants/skirt
  • No need for suits/tuxes unless you just feel like peacocking.

Shoes

  • Comfortable walking shoes / sneakers for Cabo & PV
  • Flip-flops / sandals for pool and around ship
  • Optional slightly nicer shoes for dinner (boat shoes, flats, etc.)

Tech & docs

  • Passports + copies (photos on phone too)
  • Cruise docs & luggage tags
  • Phone, chargers, portable battery
  • Maybe a Kindle/book for sea days

Little “cruise hacks” that make cabins nicer

  • Magnetic hooks for hats, lanyards, light jackets
  • Over-the-door organizer for all the small stuff
  • Nightlight or tiny USB light for midnight bathroom runs
